Important Documentaries

The most important documentaries for the 21st Century

There are some systemic failures in the world. It is not an accident that persons suffer. I call it wise to take a fresh look at how thought becomes policy, becomes tradition and makes a culture that can become quite insane. One the most important and accessible is the Secret of Oz. Please do check data and inquire on your own. Remember, we are creatures of multiiiple brains. Is it possible in a way, the Jurassic period still has its effects? Is the reptilian brain of mankind running the monetary systems of the world? Is there a figurative set of reptiles competing around a water hole? Is this Profiteering tone necessary? Is there another way?

These films are typically secular in viewpoint. And for good reason. There is considerable evidence that religious corporations have been as limiting and defeating for the human population as the big dragons. I prefer the acknowledgement of “That Which Matters Most” in a spiritual sense, and awareness of the energy body, and also the perspective of science on this little blue dot sailing through the cosmos. I believe an ability to choose identity withe one’s soul is essential to healing, empowerment, and world service. A fluency with archetypal ways of understanding the personal and collective psyche make affordable to everyone, I judge, a way of perceiving the big picture and making choices with conscience. I definitely support the will-to-good over the will-to-power. The sacred needs not be money or greed.

I like the tone and scholarship of these films. Each one has triggered me to include a greater fabric of perception, and to find some hope for my grandchildren.

The Zeitgeist Films

The three Zeitgeist films are available on Netflix. Please watch them, select them as favorites!

Zeitgeist: The Movie [2007] First out movie by the author, larger scope, cultural mythos.

Zeitgeist: Addemdum [2008] Largely about the monetary system.

Zeitgeist: Moving Forward [2010] Best of all for clarity and wise overview.

The Secret of Oz

L. Frank Baum wrote the famous story in the midst of the struggle over the monetary system.

There may be an updated version of this. Some quotations repaired.

The Money Masters

By the same reporter, Bill Still, who created the Secret of Oz. This has more historicall notes.

The Corporation

The design and behavior of these constructs mirrors the checklist of criteria for psychopathology. Corporations have become huge monsters whose appetites must be fed.

Two spirits

A young Novajo boy, who was also a girl, murdered by a hater. Good thoughts about the 4-gender system in which males may have female bodies, and females male bodies. I am twospirit. The brutality along the lines of gender on the human world is costly. Broken hearts and minds. How can I not speak to this? It is all of a fabric with the insane devastation of the natural world, and the enslavement of mankind by its own shadow.

Blue Gold

In every corner of the globe, we are polluting, diverting, pumping, and wasting our limited supply of fresh water at an expediential level as population and technology grows. The rampant overdevelopment of agriculture, housing and industry increase the demands for fresh water well beyond the finite supply, resulting in the desertification of the earth.

Corporate giants force developing countries to privatize their water supply for profit. Wall Street investors target desalination and mass bulk water export schemes. Corrupt governments use water for economic and political gain. Military control of water emerges and a new geo-political map and power structure forms, setting the stage for world water wars.

We follow numerous worldwide examples of people fighting for their basic right to water, from court cases to violent revolutions to U.N. conventions to revised constitutions to local protests at grade schools. As Maude Barlow proclaims, “This is our revolution, this is our war”. A line is crossed as water becomes a commodity. Will we survive?

Wetiko: The Greatest Epidemic Sickness Known to Humanity

This is a little book. An archetypal view of collective human mental disorder!

In Wetiko: The Greatest Epidemic Sickness Known to Humanity, Paul Levy explores the Native American idea of a psycho-spiritual disease of the soul that has been plaguing humanity for several thousand years. Originating in the human psyche, wetiko psychosis is currently manifesting as a world-wide psychic epidemic, as it ravages our civilization and destroys the biosphere, the very life support of our species. Encoded in this malevolent parasite of the mind, however, is a revelation which can potentially wake us up.
